Bring your existing clients over from any other system with a CSV.
Switching from another tool? You can bring your whole client list with you. Export it as a CSV (or a spreadsheet you save as CSV) and upload it - our importer adapts to whatever columns your file has, so there's no special format to match.
Most systems - Squire, Booksy, Fresha, Vagaro, Square, or even a plain spreadsheet - can export a client or contact list. It's usually under a Clients, Contacts, or Data Export screen; a few (like Booksy) have you request it from their support. However it comes out, the next steps are the same.
How to import
- 1Export your client list from your current system as a CSV.
- 2In barber.rsvp, go to Clients and choose Import clients.
- 3Upload your file. We read its columns and pre-match the ones we recognize.
- 4Connect each column in your file to the matching field - name, phone, email, or notes - and ignore the rest. Adjust any our guess got wrong.
- 5Review the preview of what will import, then confirm.
Each client needs a phone number or an email address (either is fine). Rows with neither are skipped and counted for you, so nothing imports half-formed.
Imported clients start with text messaging off and unverified. They confirm their number the first time they book or by tapping a magic link, so you stay compliant with messaging rules - you don't text an imported list out of the blue.
Card-on-file doesn't transfer from other systems - those are held by your old processor and can't be exported. You re-collect a card naturally at the client's first visit, so there's nothing to migrate.
